In the old city
There was the ring of church bells, but God was not in the church bells. There was then a muezzin call from one of the mosques, but God was not in the muezzin call. Then there was the still small voice of Jews saying shemoneh esreh at the Kotel.
A little background. Last night I was praying at the kotel. I was interrupted twice by other religions' self-aggrandization, and was inspired to write this.
